Black Tax

"You’ll have to work twice as hard to get half as far" or "half as much" is a colloquial saying amongst Black Americans that in order to succeed we have to work harder and go beyond to overcome the the invisible racial and socio-economic barriers to simply get the same level of respect or recognition as our non-black counterparts.

The work aims to serve as a visual representation of the aforementioned quote to show how the inequality of additional effort Black individuals must give to appear balanced with others.
