Venus

Born from sea foam, the Roman goddess Venus is hailed as the goddess of love and beauty. This painting uses color to tell the story of the birth of Venus. Upon closer view one can also make out the constellations Libra and Taurus, both of which Venus is the ruling planet according to astrology.

The soles of heels in the installation coordinate with the color palette in the painting and have Corinthian capital inspired adornments on the heel shaft.
